Job Summary:

GP required to join our clinical team at Willingham by Stow, Lincolnshire

Salaried GP position, 6 sessions per week. We are looking to find a replacement for a retiring GP and also to expand our GP cover.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward thinking GP, who shares our ethos of excellence and patient centred care, to join our friendly and supportive team. We have a simple goal of providing the very best we can for our patients at all times. In other words, a practice you would be happy for your grandmother to attend. We are lucky to serve a group of genuinely grateful happy patients and to belong to their community.

We are lucky to have a well established practice team and a positive working environment. We are an AskmyGP practice and the day to day role will involve a mixture of face to face, telephone, and electronic contacts. Previous experience of the system is desirable but not essential. Our clinical records are held on SystmOne which is integrated with other parts of the local NHS. We are lucky to have two advanced nurse practitioners, four GPs, remote pharmacy cover and a first contact physiotherapist.

We are an active member of Imp Healthcare Ltd federation (Dr Lane is chairman of the board of directors) and are a member of Imp PCN. We provide teaching to undergraduate medical students from Nottingham and Lincoln. We have recently started offering GP training to GPST1 and GPST2 doctors as an associate practice. The successful applicant will take an active role in GP training, and will be encouraged to qualify as a clinical supervisor. Our existing GPs have a range of outside skills and interests and would encourage our new colleague to develop their own interests to complement their role with us.

We are a GMS dispensing practice with around 4700 patients. We work from modern premises with beautiful walks on the doorstep. We are proud to be a “green” practice and have invested in a large solar PV array. We offer free delivery to our dispensing patients in our electric delivery vehicle.

We are situated in a beautiful corner of Lincolnshire between Lincoln and Gainsborough. The area provides very competitively priced housing and excellent schools with low crime rates. A great place to raise a family. The peaceful village of Willingham by Stow is in rural Lincolnshire, yet only a short distance from the historic city of Lincoln, with its magnificent historic architecture, restaurants, bars and city life. The Lincolnshire Wolds and coast are easily accessible, with plenty of great walking and cycling, making this a wonderful and varied place to live.
