Job Summary:

Church Walk Surgery is looking to recruit an experienced Practice Nurse for 2 sessions per week, plus regular opportunities to cover extended access, annual leave and sickness.

To be responsible for the delivery of nursing services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within the nurse’s scope of practice to our practice population of 5700 patients.

The role would include general nurse duties including cervical screening, contraception, childhood immunisations, venepuncture and wound care.  In addition, appropriate qualifications in the management of chronic health conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes and COPD are desirable.

We are a very friendly, dynamic and forward thinking GP practice whose clinical team includes GPs, Advanced Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists and technicians, FCP, Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants/Phlebotomists.

We are active members of our Primary Care Network (PCN) and are members of a GP federation.

Our Nurses play an essential role in providing a caring, friendly and positive service to patients, adopting a team approach to patient care.

Salary – negotiable and subject to experience.
