Fixed Term GP | K2 Healthcare
K2 Healthcare is a forward-thinking federation covering a population of 134k patients in the Sleaford and Grantham.
We are looking for a caring and friendly GP to join our unique clinic as an outpost of the Welby Practice. We provide face-to-face General Practice health services to circa 300 asylum seekers, mostly families, in an in-hotel clinic based at Stoke Rochford Hall Hotel. Clinics are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There is a small on-site team consisting of the GP, a service manager, and a nurse, with off-site support from the Welby Practice. We work closely with the hotel staff and security teams.
Most consultations take place using Language Line, so we allow extra time in consultations to accommodate this. Without the normal GP Practice setting you will need to be patient and flexible to the challenges of this unique settling, including some additional admin necessitated by the remote location.
Furthermore, the post holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the service, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
We would welcome and support applications from GPs who are comfortable working in a non-traditional environment and are happy to be flexible to the onsite conditions.
The salary for this post is £60,000 – £66,000 based on 6-sessions per week, experience dependent.
