Deputy Practice Manager | Spilsby Surgery

Contract Type – Permanent

Salary: £30,000 – £39,000 pro rata (dependant on experience)

Hours: 16 – 32 hours (Part -time)

Spilsby Surgery is a small rural training and dispensing practice of approximately 7500 patients, situated on the edge of the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

We currently have 2 GP Partners, about 3 Associate GPs, an advanced nurse practitioner (ANP) and a Nurse Consultant along with a mix of Practice Nurses, HCAs and administrative support. We also work collaboratively with surrounding practices via the primary care network (PCN) and share other staff members like the first contact physiotherapist and psychiatric nurse. We pride ourselves on demonstrating a blend of working as with innovation and efficiency in a diverse team.

We have one vacancy for a Deputy Practice Manager. You will work closely with the Practice Manager to ensure the smooth day to day operation of the practice. This a varied position where you will help co-ordinate administrative processes, provide leadership to office staff and continuously seek opportunities to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.

We are looking for someone with proven experience in a manager or supervisory role ideally within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills

Desirable

  • Educated to A-level/equivalent or higher with relevant experience
  • Leadership and/or management qualification

Knowledge & Skills

Essential

  • Ability to recognise opportunities to enhance service delivery
  • Good communication skills (written, oral and presenting)
  • Good IT skills (generic)
  • Good leadership skills and ability to motivate and train staff
  • Ability to prioritise, delegate and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
