Institute of General Practice Management Accreditation – Expressions of Interest
A programme of 10 preparation sessions aimed at supporting eligible Lincolnshire practice staff to become accredited members of the Institute of General Practice Management.
Please read the following information carefully before expressing an interest. By Completing the booking form you are expressing an interest, your place will then be confirmed by the LMC team.
Lincolnshire LMC are offering all Lincolnshire General Practice Management the opportunity to become an associate member of the IGPM and to complete the accreditation process too, (which enables associate members to become full members).
The IGPM was created to support the development and career progression of the General Practice Management community and provide a governing body through which managers can become accredited and fully recognised as a distinct profession. There are many benefits of being a IGPM member both to the manager and to their practice. To find out more about the IGPM and what is involved in the accreditation process, visit: igpm.org.uk.
Suitable for:
- Individuals in a management role within a Lincolnshire general practice who are applying to become an accredited member of the Institute of General Practice Management (IGPM). View eligibility criteria here.
- OR aspiring managers in Lincolnshire general practice and Lincolnshire practice staff who would like to develop.
Candidates must have been working in a managerial role within an NHS General Practice for 2 years prior to applying.

- Virtual - Session 2: Thursday 30th January 2024 at 12:00 to 13:00hrs
- Virtual - Session 3: Thursday 6th February at 12:00 to 13:00hrs
- Virtual - Session 4: Thursday 13th February at 12:00 to 13:00hrs
- Virtual - Session 5: Thursday 27th February at 12:00 to 13:00hrs
- Virtual - Session 6: Thursday 6th March at 12:00 to 13:00hrs
- Virtual - Session 7: Thursday 13th March at 12:00 to 13:00hrs
- Virtual - Session 8: Thursday 20th March at 12:00 to 13:00hrs
- Virtual - Session 9: Thursday 3rd April at 12:00 to 13:00hrs
- F2F - Session 10: Thursday 24th April at 12:00 to 14:00hrs (lunch provided)

Content:
Each of the 10 sessions will take you through a section of the application. You will be expected to complete "homework" after each session by using what you have learnt to complete that section of the application. By the end of the series your application should be almost complete.

- Working with other organisations and service providers AND pre submission recap.
The deadline for the application is 30th April.
These sessions will be highly interactive, please ensure you join with a working camera and microphone as all attendees will be expected to participate and contribute.
Delivery:
Sessions 1-9 will take place over Microsoft Teams.
Session 10 will be face to face at the Lincs LMC HQ.

Funding:
This training is being funded by Lincolnshire LMC
Initial associate membership and initial accreditation cost, (excluding re-submissions) will also be funded by Lincs LMC, individuals will need to fund renewals thereafter.
