Lincolnshire General Practice Covid-19 Recognition & Reflection

Lincolnshire General Practice Covid-19 Recognition & Reflection

The workload of our already overstretched general practice almost doubled during the pandemic and there are no signs of it reverting back. The Lincolnshire LMC is extremely proud to represent and support Lincolnshire GPs and their practices. We felt it was crucial for all Lincolnshire’s practice staff be recognised for their hard work and dedication throughout the pandemic and the continuing challenges.

We were delighted to bring Lincolnshire practice teams together from across the county for a special event to reflect on recent years, recognise everyone’s efforts, and celebrate accomplishments.

We welcomed guest speakers, including guest of honour, Sir Prof. Jonathan Van-Tam, John Turner, CEO Lincolnshire ICS, Kay Botley, Head of Healthcare Duncan & Toplis, Dr Kieran Sharrock, Deputy Chare General Practitioners Committee England and Dean O’Dell who inserted a little magic into the event.

All our guest speakers commended Lincolnshire practice teams for their huge achievement, having undergone massive changes in a short period of time, and for supporting each other in the face of adversity to ensure that patient care continued to be accessible to all.

Other local and national organisations also joined in praising Lincolnshire practice staff including the Lincs LMC, RCGP, RCGPN, EMAS, LIVES, The Lincoln Hospital – Circle Group, Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, Lincoln City Football Club & Foundation, The South Ormsby Estate and the Red Arrows!

We hope that all attendees had a wonderful time and were able to share the sentiment with colleagues who were unable to attend. All Lincolnshire practices were awarded with a framed certificate as a momentum of recognition. Practices who could not attend the event will receive their certificate in the coming weeks.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Duncan & Toplis for their significant contribution to make this event such a special occasion. We would also like to say thank you to all the other organisations that helped make the event possible:

Messages of thanks…
