Job Summary:

Are you an enthusiastic ANP or ACP looking for a job in primary care and interest in joining our “Outstanding” rated rural training practice?

We are looking for a colleague who is passionate about providing high quality care for patients. Prescribing qualification is essential and experience of using askmyGP would be useful but not essential. The successful candidate will need to work as an autonomous practitioner – diagnosing, managing and prescribing for patients with illness or injury. This may be by face-to-face consultation, telephone, askmyGP or occasional home visit. To support ongoing training a monthly ANP/ACP tutorial is held by our GP Trainer, and we have an educational monthly GP/ACP meeting also.

About Us
Caythorpe & Ancaster Medical Practice is a 2 site rural training and dispensing practice located in rural South West Lincolnshire, close to the Nottinghamshire border with around 9700 patients. At our last CQC inspection we were awarded an Outstanding rating.

We are a forward thinking practice with close links to our local Federation and PCN. We currently operate an acute and routine appointment system, aided by the use of askmyGP and are a TPP SystmOne practice. This system means that we can give extra time to patients booked in for routine appointments (15 minutes) and have separate appointments specifically set aside for you to undertake patient follow up. We have one GP who does our weekly care home ward rounds and also undertakes most of our home visits. Any home visits are undertaken as part of your usual appointment numbers and are not undertaken over lunchtime as an extra. We are admin light – with an excellent workflow team alongside use of AI for them to process letters.

We have a skilled and experienced team comprising of 3 GP Partners, 5 GPs, a Nurse Practitioner, Paramedic Practitioner, Clinical Care Co-ordinating team and an excellent nursing team. We are also supported by Musculoskeletal Practitioners and a Mental Health Practitioner. As well as the existing team we are a training practice for GP speciality trainees and so have GP Registrars working with us from the Lincoln scheme and also host Medical Students from Lincoln Medical School. Alongside our clinical team we have a highly motivated and competent Medicines Management, Reception/ Administration and Dispensary teams.

Our GP team is a mix of ages, gender and personalities which adds to the character of our team and practice. We treat all patients and staff with dignity, independence, respect and honesty in an environment that is accessible, safe and friendly. We continually receive excellent feedback from GP speciality trainees, medical students and locums about how friendly our whole practice team is.
